Gale Yang

User Researcher & UX Designer

Gale (Chih-Yun) Yang is a User Researcher and UX Designer with 4+ years of professional experience. As a passionate lifelong learner, she is now studying Human-Computer Interaction at the University of Michigan.

Read Between the Lines

She loves talking to people, able to empathize with users and turn that empathy into what she does everyday. In a books exhibition, she was able to uncover latent customer needs through interviewing and finally sold 100 packages in 5 days.

Solve Problems with Rapid Iteration

As a former co-founder of a start-up, she participated in product decision from tactical details to a strategic level in an agile environment. She recruited and interviewed independently with over 14 interviewees within 45 days.

Tell Stories for Stakeholder Buy-In

In Xuenn, she led a group of senior technical people to design a mobile app. She successfully shared findings through a visually pleasing, yet convincing presentation – a core part of the idea was accepted by CEO to be started immediately.

She always collaborates with cross-functional members, such as designers, project manager, engineers and stakeholders from multiple countries. She learns their unique perspectives and communicates in their languages to build the team up.
